Protest movements are on the rise worldwide amid widespread pandemic lockdowns, with millions marching through the streets demanding democratic freedoms, social justice and an end to corruption.

Ignited by global political unrest and inspired by mobilization of people around the world during the global pandemic, we came together to create My Salute: a company at the intersection of art, fashion and activism in the spring of 2021. My Salute is a gift designed by us and inspired by all global activists everywhere.

The world is at a high level of protest right now, says Robert O'Brien, a political science professor at McMaster University in Hamilton. And he sees a common theme: "A dissatisfaction of both political and economic arrangements governing people and in different parts of the world."

We salute all the activists who play a role no matter how big or small in their efforts to promote any social, political, economic, or environmental reform with the desire to make changes in society toward a perceived greater good. We always have stood for freedom in our part of the world, and now we realize that we need to do more to promote freedom around the world.
